    You know, as a part of building a portfolio. But how much to charge them? I feel bad asking for money.

    If you take your freelance business seriously, I suggest keeping family and business separate.

    If you keep it strict and make it clear that the website will be simple (select a theme and install it) then why not. This is a few hours of work and you have a nice site to add to your portfolio. Just teach them how to use the back-end, so they don’t bother you with updates.

    As an alternative, refer them to squarespace, wordpress.com, shopify or some other web builder.
